First Aid at Work - Initial Three Days
A full Health and Safety Executive (HSE) approved First Aid at Work course, in accordance with the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. Once qualified, holders of this First Aid at Work certificate can be used as First Aiders in the workplace in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974. This course can be adapted to suit a particular audience, for example, clerical or engineering staff. The First Aid at Work course is run over three days and includes both theory and practical sessions.
First Aid at Work Re-qualification
If your delegates have previously completed the full 3 day First Aid at Work Course and their certification is in date or within 28 days after the expiry date you may wish to consider the 2 day re-qualification course.
Assessment
Assessment is now continuous
for the entire three days for this qualification, which is recorded by the
course tutor/s. Each candidate is required to successfully demonstrate all key
elements alongside successfully answering key questions with respect to this
award which is recognised by the HSE in respect to the current first aid at
work regulations.
Each candidate is supported by
the course tutor/s throughout and is issued a comprehensive approved first aid
at work manual, which complements this course and includes sections where
candidates can record course notes and complete key task questions.
Upon successful completion
certification is valid for three years*.
Cost
The cost of the three-day course is £1499 inclusive, when run at your venue. This is for a group of up to 12 candidates and includes certification and a manual to each candidate. The 2 day re-qualification course costs £899 inclusive.

Candidates wishing to join an ''Open'' initial course will be charged at £179 per person. And those wishing to re-qualify will be charged at £125 per person. There are no additional costs.
*Under the current guidelines it is 'strongly recommended' that first aid trained staff attend a half-day update every 12 months - before completing full re-qualification training at the three year point.
