Work places have fire drills to keep fire wardens 'switched on' and effective but First Aiders seem to have training, do nothing for 3 years and then have a refresher course. HSE research as well as candidate feedback proves that if anything were to happen midway between this period, the First Aider would not feel confident in dealing with a serious situation.
The HSE now recommend (since October 2009) that 'all first aiders' attend an annual 3 hour minimum update course. We have taken the HSE recommended training syllabus and designed this interactive and informative course to keep first aiders up to date and engaged in their skills set, whilst keeping the training realistic and engaging.
We can deliver this course at your venue for up to 12 staff members all who must hold a current in date first aid qualification. This can be issued from any awarding body.
We also deliver this course on an open public basis again those wishing to attend must hold an in date first aid qualification.
We will arrive on site with moulage, clothes, casualties (where requested) and additional special effects to make the scene as real as possible. We will make the scenario realistic for the environment and not overly complicated! So from Angina to Zygoma fractures, let us know what you would like us to do and we will do the rest.
A certificate of attendance is issued to each participant along with the latest current first aid manual. This training will also include any protocol or legisitive updating in the form of student handouts.
